Crisis Stabilization Therapist

Department: Crisis Stabilization
Location: Livonia, MI

New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.


Location: Community Based; New Oakland locations for meetings, trainings and/or coverage

Schedule: Full time; Shift-based schedule as determined by ICS Supervisor

Reports To: President / Associate Director of Crisis Stabilization / Clinical Supervisor

Compensation: $26 - $38/ hour; Hourly Employee. Commensurate with experience. Signing bonuses are available for eligible candidates

Position Summary: The FACE to FACE Intensive Crisis Stabilization Therapist is a full-time position comprised of multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities related to the FACE to FACE Crisis Intervention Program.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Provide FACE to FACE Intensive Crisis Stabilization services to consumers, as scheduled, in accordance with professional standards and the policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Triage incoming crisis calls and deploy to community settings as required to effectively and efficiently manage consumers in crisis.
  • Experience and the ability to resolve all crisis situations appropriately.
  • Communicates daily with FACE to FACE Crisis Stabilization clinical and administrative staff regarding clinical and administrative issues/activities.
  • Completes Pre-Admission Reviews and Utilization Review assignments.
  • Complete documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Fulfill all initial and ongoing training requirements.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master’s degree and licensure in social work, professional counseling, or psychology. Valid Clinical License. Must be able to work well with all types of people and all populations including children, adolescents, and adults. Must have approved driving record.

Working Conditions: Staff is to dress professionally at all times per Employee Handbook. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.
