New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across various counties in Michigan, in both, outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Location: Bloomfield Hills

Schedule: Full-time

Reports To: President / Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor

Compensation: Salary Employee. Commensurate with experience. $50,000 - $60,000/ year; sign on bonuses available for qualified candidates

Position Summary:

The FACE to FACE Eating Disorders Partial Hospitalization (PHP) Therapist is a role comprised of multiple clinical responsibilities related to the FACE to FACE PHP and Eating Disorders Programs. The ED PHP Therapist will provide individual, admission, family, group, and other services in our PHP program. The Therapist will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest quality of care to consumers in an acute setting who have eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Provide individual, admission, family, group, and other services to consumers in the FACE to FACE Eating Disorders Program in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Develop and/or follow treatment plans using a person-centered process.
  • Complete discharge planning and coordination of care as required.
  • Ability to resolve all crisis situations appropriately.
  • Complete documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures.
  • Maintain trainings per clinic’s policies/procedures and per licensure requirements.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Attend daily FACE to FACE administrative/clinical meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master’s degree and licensure in social work, professional counseling, or psychology required. 1-2 years of mental health therapy experience, including group therapy preffered. Must be able to work well with all types of people and all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.

Working Conditions: Staff is to dress professionally at all times per Employee Handbook. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.
